Notifications Overview

  • Updated

The Notifications feature in OWL keeps users informed about important activities, updates, and alerts across the platform. Notifications are configured and managed by the organization administrator, ensuring that users receive relevant information based on their role, assigned modules, and organizational requirements.

When notifications are enabled by the administrator, users automatically receive alerts for supported events within the modules they have access to. This helps investigators and other users stay updated on important activities without constantly monitoring the application.

OWL supports notification delivery through the following channels:

  • Email – Notifications are sent to the user's registered email address.
  • Text Message (SMS) – Critical alerts can be delivered as text messages.
  • Web UI – Notifications are displayed within the OWL application, allowing users to view updates directly from the platform.

Notifications are intended to improve communication, ensure timely awareness of important events, and support efficient collaboration across teams.

Note: Notification preferences are controlled by the organization administrator. Users can view and receive notifications but cannot modify the notification settings configured for them.
