OWL delivers notifications through multiple channels to ensure users are informed about important activities, alerts, and updates. The type of notification a user receives depends on the notification configuration set by the organization administrator.
The following notification types are supported:
Email Notifications
Email notifications are sent to the user's registered email address. They are typically used for important updates, task assignments, approvals, scheduled reports, and other events that require the user’s attention, even when they are not logged in to OWL.
Text Message (SMS) Notifications
SMS notifications are sent to the user's registered mobile number. These are generally used for high-priority or time-sensitive alerts that require immediate attention.
Web UI Notifications
Web UI notifications are displayed within the OWL application. Users can view these notifications after logging in, allowing them to stay updated on activities related to cases, records, workflows, and other platform events.
Notification Triggers
Notifications are generated automatically when specific events occur within OWL, such as record updates, workflow actions, approvals, assignments, or other configured activities. The exact events that trigger notifications depend on the notification rules configured by the organization administrator.
