Troubleshooting Login Problems

  • Updated

If you are unable to sign in to OWL, try the following troubleshooting steps before contacting your administrator.

1. Verify Your Credentials

  • Ensure that you are entering the correct username and password.
  • Check that Caps Lock is not enabled.
  • Make sure there are no extra spaces before or after your username or password.

2. Reset Your Password

  • If you have forgotten your password, click Forgot Password on the OWL login page
  • Follow the password reset instructions sent to your registered email address.
  • Check your spam or junk folder if you do not receive the email.

3. Check Your Account Status

You may be unable to log in if:

  • Your account has been locked due to multiple unsuccessful login attempts.
  • Your account has been disabled or deactivated.
  • Your password has expired and requires a reset.

Contact your administrator if you believe your account has been locked or disabled.

4. Verify the Login URL

  • Ensure you are accessing the correct OWL environment for your organization. For most users, that URL is https://app.owlintel.ai.
  • If your organization uses a different environment, use the URL provided by your administrator.

5. Browser Issues

If the login page does not load correctly:

  • Confirm that you are using a supported browser:
    • Google Chrome 90 or later
    • Microsoft Edge 90 or later
    • Mozilla Firefox 90 or later
    • Safari 14 or later
  • Refresh the page.
  • Clear your browser cache and cookies.
  • Try using a supported browser.
  • Open OWL in a private or incognito browser window.
  • Disable browser extensions that may interfere with authentication.

6. Network Connectivity

  • Verify that your internet connection is active.
  • If using a corporate VPN, ensure it is connected, if required by your organization.
  • Check whether firewall or proxy settings are blocking access.

7. Server Availability

If multiple users cannot access OWL:

  • Verify whether the system is undergoing scheduled maintenance. If this is the case, the login page will display a maintenance message.
  • Contact your IT team or system administrator to confirm the platform status.

8. Single Sign-On (SSO)

If your organization uses Single Sign-On (SSO):

  • Select the SSO sign-in option on the OWL login page.
  • Use your organization-issued credentials to sign in.
  • Contact your IT team if you experience an identity-provider or multi-factor authentication (MFA) issue.

9. When to Contact Your Administrator

Contact your system administrator if:

  • You cannot reset your password.
  • Your account is locked or disabled.
  • Login continues to fail after verifying your credentials.
  • You receive unexpected authentication or authorization errors.
