OWL 1.9.2 introduces updates to Notes, OWLvault workflows, data visibility, and platform security. This release focuses on improving how users document information, manage datasets, and securely handle uploaded files—while laying the groundwork for upcoming enhancements.
What’s New
Updated Notes Module
The Notes module has been updated and is now available in production, with continued enhancements planned.
- New Notes experience: The updated module provides a more structured and flexible way to capture and manage notes within the platform.
- Default Note Type assignment: All existing notes in the system have been automatically categorized under a “General” Note Type to ensure consistency.
- Admin-configurable templates: Administrators can now create and manage Note templates directly within the Admin module, allowing teams to standardize documentation formats.
Users can more consistently capture and organize information, while administrators can enforce structure through reusable templates.
Marketplace & Dataset Visibility
- Vendor information in Active Datasets & Connectors: Marketplace vendor details are now visible within the Active Datasets & Connectors view, providing users with better visibility into the sources of their data and improving transparency and decision-making when working with external datasets.
Document Upload Quarantine
A new security layer has been introduced for document uploads:
- Automated scanning: All uploaded documents are now scanned for malware and viruses.
- Quarantine workflow: If a threat is detected:
- The document is not uploaded into the system
- It is placed into a Quarantine state
- Notifications are sent to:
- The user who attempted the upload
- Organization administrators
- Automatic deletion: Quarantined files are automatically removed after 7 days
OWLvault Updates
Enhancements to OWLvault improve how users access, analyze, and export data:
- Database export visibility: Exported databases are now available under the “Datasources Exported” section.
- Improved database management:
- Created databases can be individually viewed and filtered
- Records within a database can be selected for export individually or all at once.
- Flexible export formats: Records can be exported as CSV, XLS, and JSON files.
